JACQUI EDGERLY WINS THE NORTH FACE YOUNG GUN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MOUNTAIN SPORTS INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES JACQUI EDGERLY WINNER OF THE NORTH FACE YOUNG GUN AWARD 2008
The North Face Young Gun Award recognizes outstanding new talent in competitive big mountain freeskiing

Salt Lake City, Utah, May 16, 2008—Mountain Sports International and The North Face today announced Jacqui Edgerly of Aspen, Colorado, as The North Face Young Gun overall winner of 2008. With one of the strongest fields of women in the history of the tour, 19-year-old Edgerly, known for her technically strong skiing style, had several top-five results and finished fifth on the Subaru US Freeskiing Series and sixth on the World Tour.

The North Face Young Gun award honors outstanding new talent in competitive big mountain freeskiing. It is presented annually to an individual 21 years of age or younger, in recognition of an emerging talent and commitment to the freeskiing community throughout the Subaru U.S. Freeskiing Series. The winner receives product from The North Face Cryptic line and $2,000 cash to support competition expenses in the 2009 season.

“The purpose of The North Face Young Gun Award is to recognize the next up-and-comer for their performance throughout all six stops of the tour,” said Katie Ramage, The North Face Senior Athlete Manager. “Ideally this person is an ambassador within the community and is integral in inspiring and cultivating the next generation of skiers.”

At each individual event a Young Gun nominee is chosen, with an overall winner from this group receiving the award at the end of the season. This year’s event winners are: Subaru Telluride Freeskiing Open, Scott McBrayer of Alta, Utah; Subaru Squaw Valley Freeskiing Open, Bryce Newcomb of Sun Valley, Idaho; Subaru US Extreme Freeskiing Championships, Dane Tudor of Red Mountain British Columbia, and Colby Adams of Breckenridge, Colorado; Subaru Jackson Hole Freeskiing Open, Claudia Bouvier of Vail, Colorado; Subaru US Freeskiing Nationals, Brayden Brassey of Park City, Utah; Subaru Freeskiing World Championships, Jacqui Edgerly of Aspen, Colorado.

Mountain Sports International presented a live webcast of all world tour events this season. Check out highlights at www.usfreeskiing.com, which features state of the art video and photo player technology.
